Starting Seeds 2015
2015 is off to a great start!
We started 39 varieties of tomato seeds on March 10th and they started sprouting within a few days. We are starting seedlings this year in Jiffy pots (pictured above) and are trying a new labeling system using straws and masking tape (pictured below). We will be posting pictures of the seedlings soon and will post the different types of tomatoes when they start fruiting this summer.
The tomatoes we have started for this year are:
Yellow Pear, Green Doctors, Thai Pink Egg, Hartman's Gooseberry, White Cherry, Green Vernissage, Tigerella, Purple Bumblebee, Blue Berries, Abe Lincoln, Black Pineapple, Heinz 1439, Sara's Galapagos, Wild Galapagos, Trophy, Pink Accordion, Blue Beauty, Indigo Rose, Black Sea Man, Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Purple Russian, Tasty Evergreen, Green Bell Pepper, Transparent, White Tomesol, Casady's Folly, Striped Cavern, German Red Strawberry, German Orange Strawberry, Opalka, Japanese Plum, Amish Paste, White Oxheart, Green Skin Long Keeper, Orange Peach, Dad's Sunset, and San Juanito and Purple Tomatillos.
